Welcome to the latest TechCast Network venture in the dynamic and ever-growing world of Twitter. The highly active Twitter community has time and time again proved its use, whether it be the first with breaking news, spreading the latest gossip or connecting with people you wouldn’t otherwise be able to hear directly from (e..g celebrities, CEO’s) in a non-formal communication channel.
Twitter as a platform has yet to prove itself, but there are already many developers looking to be the first-movers in developing killer applications for both their own personal enjoyment, as a proof of concept and in some cases for profit.
Twitterspread is a different take on an existing idea. The core of it is advertising, promotion and marketing. However, from the perspective of TechCast Network, I believe the methods that are currently being used are spammy and don’t really generate that much interest in the brands they are promoting. Sure, they give away some goodies to a select few, but after the competition finishes, has there been a real and lasting impact?
Hopefully, Twitterspread will change that. Through the use of its funky site and no-spam rule, there is an elegance to the way each promotion will be run. Naturally, there has to be prizes, so we’re working on a select few brands for the initial launch of Twitterspread where you can get a hold of some goodies. You won’t be asked to spam twitter or your followers with irrelevant ad messages. You’re free to do what you wish with the products/brands/services that we’re promoting. All you have to do is follow @twterspread and @[brand] accounts and that’s good enough for us.
