I'm no expert, but based on what I read every now and again, it's a result of various manufacturers buying up mass quantities of flash memory. The exact same ram I have watched go up in price. Nearly a third more expensive now than you got it for just over a year ago. I dont get it amazingly ram usually dips in price.
