I have had a response from Joytech and they have informed me that the batteries are "Nickel Metal Hydride".

Hope that helps!

There is a piece of information you forgot to include. One that is extremely important.

Are the batteries lithium, or Nickel-cadmium?

Why do I ask?
Because if they are Nickel-cadmium, then you should NOT leave them on the charger. It will "overcharge" and reduce the life of the battery signifintly.
So you should ONLY charge when its dead.

Lithium on the other hand does not have this problem, and you can charge it after each play.

"How about for the North American market? I can’t seem to find it anywhere."

- I've just had a quick look on Amazon.com but they don't seem to have it but the Joytech site does list these following retailers as places to try:

    * www.Buy.com
    * www.Bestbuy.com
    * www.Outpost.com
    * www.Walmart.com

Let me know if you have any luck with those sites, if not I can dig a little further to see where you can get a hold of one.

Hey Darren. This kit is available from Amazon for about £18 (UK) if you're looking to order it online. I'm not sure if it will be available in game stores though.
